When working with heavily resinous softwoods, tough deposits form which become increasingly difficult to remove over time and should therefore be removed as soon as possible. After longer storage of the chainsaw, the widespread use of so-called organic chainsaw oils also leads to resinification and a corresponding deterioration of the lubrication properties. The result is excessive heating of the chain as well as greater friction and increased wear of the chain and chain groove. Also, adhering dirt particles that occur when working in tree root areas or when shredding branches reduce the durability of the chainsaw components and should be removed regularly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before sharpening and for general maintenance, the saw chain should be cleaned thoroughly. The highly effective cleaning by means of ultrasound is a simple, time and cost-saving solution compared to buying a new chain or the laborious and rough cleaning with a brush and cleaning sprays. The cavitation bubbles generated by the ultrasound loosen the dirt gently and also in hard-to-reach places and therefore offer the optimal conditions for a good maintenance result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For cleaning in the ultrasonic bath, the chain is dismantled and placed in the appropriate ultrasonic cleaning solution. After about fifteen minutes of ultrasonic cleaning, the chain is rinsed and preserved for the next use. In addition to the saw chain, other components of the chainsaw such as the guide bar, spark plug and carburettor can also be cleaned of dust, dirt and soot.
