Especially after a long period of non-use in winter storage, the volatile components of the fuel escape and lead to deposits of the less volatile substances in the petrol. In 2-stroke combustion engines, components of the oil mixture are deposited in the carburettor and lead to starting problems or insufficient combustion in the engine.<\/p>\n<p>For thorough cleaning of the carburettor, it must be removed from the engine. To do this, first dismantle the air duct or air filter and the fuel line. Then the carburettor can be detached from the engine block by removing the flange screws.<\/p>\n<p>Conventional cleaning methods such as brushing with brake cleaner or soaking in petrol\/brake cleaner mixture do not adequately clean off the contamination in the inaccessible places on the carburettor mechanics and in the fuel lines.<\/p>\n<p>With ultrasonic cleaning, deposits on the carburettor nozzles can be gently removed. The finest cavitation bubbles clean the carburettor even in hard-to-reach places. It is important during ultrasonic cleaning that the float housing is dismantled and that the bath fluid reaches all areas of the carburettor to be cleaned. After ultrasonic cleaning, the carburettor regains its original performance.
