When treating the skin, organic residues such as dead skin cells or sebum can easily become lodged in the fine grooves and joints of comedone extractors or tweezers. If these are only wiped down superficially before disinfection or sterilisation, there is a risk that particles of dirt will remain and become burnt in during the subsequent heat treatment. This results in what is known as „sterile dirt“.
An ultrasonic cleaner solves this problem through the physical effect of cavitation: microscopic bubbles form in the cleaning fluid and implode directly on the instrument. This removes organic contaminants mechanically, without contact and gently – even in hard-to-reach places.

Pure water is not sufficient for thorough cleaning. A special cleaning and disinfectant product is required, one that is suitable for the materials of the instruments and the type of contamination (such as sebum and skin oils).
The duration depends on the degree of soiling and the cleaning agent used. As a rule, the ultrasonic cleaning time is between 3 and 10 minutes. This saves a considerable amount of working time compared with manual cleaning using a brush.
For hygiene reasons and to ensure maximum cleaning effectiveness, the solution in the beauty salon should be changed at least once a working day. If the solution is visibly heavily soiled or cloudy, it is advisable to change it immediately.
Instruments made from high-quality stainless steel are ideal. In the case of painted tools or instruments with plastic handles, material compatibility must be checked beforehand, as the energy from the ultrasound, in combination with the cleaning agent, can cause paint layers to peel off.
Yes. After being removed from the ultrasonic bath, the cosmetic instruments must be thoroughly rinsed under running water (ideally demineralised water). This ensures that any loosened dirt particles and residues of the cleaning solution are completely removed before the instruments are dried and, if necessary, sterilised.
