1 min read

The Detergents Regulation, which came into force on 8.10.2005, contains, among other things, regulations on:

- the biodegradability of all surfactants found in detergents (washing and cleaning agents)

- Restrictions or bans on surfactants for reasons of biodegradability

- the additional labelling of detergents including allergenic fragrances

- Information (data sheet with the exact formulation) provided by the manufacturers for the competent authorities of the
Member States and health professionals must have available on request.

The surfactants contained in our products meet the conditions of biodegradability as laid down in Regulation (EC) No 648/2004 on detergents. Documentation confirming this is kept available for the competent authorities of the Member States and is only made available to them either at their direct request or at the request of a detergent manufacturer.

The data sheets of our products for medical personnel are only supplied upon written request of the medical body.

Information on the VOC Directive
(VOC = volatile organic compounds) #

VOC (volatile organic compounds) stands for highly volatile organic compounds. Such compounds are usually solvents in paints, varnishes, spray cans and can be present in cleaning agents of any kind. If they get into the air, they can have a harmful effect on humans and the environment. In the safety data sheets of our preparations, the VOC content is stated under item 15.2.2. Here, it is various types of alcohols which, in small quantities, serve as solubilisers for other raw materials or have a synergistic effect in disinfection. Other highly volatile compounds are not contained in our preparations.
