For cooling samples during ultrasound application

Laboratory cooler LABOCOOL LC 200

The laboratory cooler LABOCOOL LC 200 is used to dissipate process heat or to cool samples in open vessels during sonication with the SONOPULS ultrasonic homogeniser. Compared to conventional laboratory coolers, the LC 200 is characterised by a closed water circuit without an equalisation tank. Thus, a constant water level in the sonication vessel is achieved and overflowing is excluded. Due to the natural refrigerant R-290, the laboratory cooler is particularly efficient and climate-friendly.

The LABOCOOL LC 400 laboratory cooler is used to dissipate process heat or to cool samples during sonication in the ultrasonic bath. Compared to conventional recirculating coolers, the LC 400 is characterised by a closed water circuit without an expansion tank. This prevents the ultrasonic bath from overflowing. Due to the natural refrigerant R-290, the LC 400 is particularly efficient and climate-friendly.

Applications with cooling

Sonication of biological samples shortens analysis times and enables more reproducible results. Due to the high ultrasonic energy introduced, the sonication fluid is heated in a short time. Therefore, to protect the sample from excessive heat input, many applications require the connection of a separate cooling system. The LABOCOOL LC 200 and LABOCOOL 400 offer a ready-to-connect complete solution for this application with cooling that is always suitable at the touch of a button.

Use in applications with the BB 6 sonication cup
The LABOCOOL LC 200 laboratory cooler is connected to the BB 6 sonication cup by means of the hoses supplied. Placement of the sonication cup in the noise protection box is also possible.

Front
The display on the front shows the status of the cooling function and the water temperature in the unit. The water temperature can be set within a range of 5-30 °C using the buttons on the side.

Use in applications with the disc resonator TR 110
The disc resonator is characterised by an effective cooling concept using two cooling water inlets and two cooling water outlets. These are connected to the LC 200 using the accessories supplied. When used in the noise protection box, the LC 200 can be placed next to the noise protection box.

Back cover
The pump unit and the main switch of the unit are located at the rear of the unit. The volume flow of the self-priming peristaltic pump can be varied with the help of an adjusting wheel.

Connection terminal
The connection clamp fits all SONOREX ultrasonic baths and is attached to the ultrasonic bath without tools. The use of baskets is not affected by the connection clamp.

The laboratory cooler LABOCOOL LC 400 is suitable for all SONOREX ultrasonic baths with bottom drain. The connection is made via the supplied hoses. The 3-way ball valve supplied maintains the function of the bath drain.
