Reprocessing of medical and dental instruments with ultrasound #
BANDELIN ultrasonic baths enable fast and thorough cleaning and chemical disinfection of medical and dental instruments with the help of suitable accessories and cleaning and disinfection preparations.
Possible applications:
- Removal of organic residues such as blood and bone residues, tissue residues, fats, secretions, dentin chips
- Removal of stubborn soiling such as alginate residues, dental plaster, grinding and polishing paste, waxes, flux and cement residues.
- Removal of tartar from dentures
Ultrasound removes impurities from the deepest pores. Even hard-to-reach places, surfaces, angles and openings are reached by ultrasound ("electronic brushing").
Reprocessing of medical devices
Ultrasound can be used in accordance with KRINKO recommendations/¹ according to the classification of the medical device.
An overview of the application recommendations is shown below.
/ ¹ Recommendation of the Commission for Hospital Hygiene and Infection Prevention (KRINKO) at the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) and the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM);
