Cleaning abutments from polishing pastes

Ultrasonic cleaner for cleaning abutments after polishing.

Polishing pastes containing particles are used in the dental laboratory to polish ground abutments. The polishing agents must be removed without residue after the polishing work is completed. Especially in plastic abutments, e.g. made of PEEK, this is not possible without ultrasound. The threads of the screws must not be contaminated with polishing particles under any circumstances, as jamming the screw can damage the implant.

With ultrasonic cleaning, even the finest gaps can be thoroughly cleaned and the polishing agents completely removed.

For the ultrasonic cleaning of abutments after polishing, the company BANDELIN offers a complete solution that has proven itself with many users. The objects are cleaned for a few minutes in a SONOREX SUPER ultrasonic bath with the biodegradable cleaning concentrate STAMMOPUR RD 5 and are thus freed from the dirt deposits in a gentle and environmentally friendly way. The ultrasound creates microscopically small bubbles which, when they implode, gently remove the dirt even from hard-to-reach places.

After cleaning in the ultrasonic bath, the abutments are rinsed under running tap water and dried.
