Cleaning the test sieves

Ultrasonic cleaner for cleaning particle size distribution sieves.

Deposits and stuck particles reduce the permeability of the metal sieves, which reduces reproducibility and result accuracy. Simple cleaning cannot loosen stuck particles. With intensive ultrasonic cleaning, even the finest particles can be cleaned off and the sieves regain their original accuracy.

BANDELIN offers a complete solution especially for the cleaning of test sieves that has proven itself with many users - cleaning with high-performance ultrasound.

Sieve manufacturers generally only recommend cleaning test sieves with mesh sizes < 500 μm in an ultrasonic bath. Boundary grains can be removed from fine meshes in particular due to the intensity of the ultrasound. Nevertheless, the cleaning process is gentle. The sieves are placed in a SONOREX SUPER ultrasonic bath with the biodegradable cleaning concentrate TICKOPUR R 33 for a few minutes. The sieves are then rinsed thoroughly with clear water and dried.
