When milling wood, the process causes contamination of the cutting edges and cavities after some time. The solid deposits are mainly resin residues. The contamination deteriorates the cutting quality and leads to increased friction, which in turn leads to higher temperatures and increased wear. Due to the complex design, planing heads can only be insufficiently cleaned with a brush.
One effective solution is to clean cutting tools such as milling heads, saw blades and planing heads with ultrasound.
Especially for the cleaning of tools in the woodworking industry, BANDELIN offers a complete solution that has proven itself with many users - cleaning with high-performance ultrasound. The saw blades are placed in a SONOREX SUPER ultrasonic bath with the biodegradable cleaning concentrate TICKOPUR TR 13 or TICKOPUR R 33 for a few minutes at 50 - 60 °C and dirt deposits such as resins are gently removed in an environmentally friendly way. The ultrasound creates microscopically small bubbles which, when they implode, gently remove the dirt even from hard-to-reach areas of the cutting tools. After rinsing, drying and installation of the cleaned planing heads etc., they function reliably again. The service life is considerably extended by this gentle cleaning method, time and costs are saved. Ultrasonic baths in various sizes as well as extensive accessories are available for the different cutting tools.
